Winners Spotlight {Nadia}

I am so excited to share a new series of posts with you that will spotlight Feel Great in 8 Winners! I hope they will be inspiring and motivating for you and I know they'll accept great advice to share.

Q: How did yous change during the claiming?

A: Offset, I got thinner, which was my motivation when I started the challenge. I've never been skinny. I was an overweight kid and teenager, and equally an adult I did lose some weight simply not plenty to brand a difference, I was yet overweight. The challenge allowed me to shed the pounds I had been trying to lose ever since I can remember. I went home to Peru to come across my family and friends and instead of hearing "Wow, you've gained weight" or "I see, the US is treating youvery well", I heard "You lot're so skinny!" "You lookso skilful!" "Are yous eating?" I accept never felt better in my life, because I accept tried the "not eating" diet before and it didn't piece of work and I felt lousy, with the challenge, all that went abroad and I eat! My body looks and feels great. I still take a long means to go to stick to my habits, only this challenge definitely has shown me that I can and that even though it'south hard, when I expect at myself in the mirror, I don't automatically hate the person staring dorsum at me.

Q: Which of the claiming requirements was the most difficult for you and how did yous overcome this difficulty?

My addiction was really hard for me. It was a daily battle to refrain from information technology. It's also personal to share just information technology was affecting more merely me. I told myself that I didn't want to exist that person anymore and I imagined how much better I would experience when I was the i in command. It's still a battle, but I'thousand still trying and doing improve every 24-hour interval.

Q: Which requirement was your favorite and why?

A: My favorite was family time. I just loved having a reason to get out with my husband or to play games together or to just enjoy each other'due south company. With him going to school and me being a mom, sometimes we didn't brand the fourth dimension for it, but information technology'south then worth it!

Q: What is your favorite workout?

A: I honey Zumba! Dancing is a fun manner to sweat a lot and I'chiliad pretty sure I look proficient dancing. 🙂 Then once more, that's simply me. I do want to become a Zumba instructor one day, hopefully non too far in the future.

Q: Favorite good for you food?

A: Banana ice cream! I've created and then many dissimilar flavors just by putting that frozen assistant in my food processor and turning it into ice foam, I beloved trying unlike things with it. It really makes me feel like I'm cheating, when I'm totally not! I get a fruit serving out of it and a lot of cobweb, depending on what you mix with it. 🙂

Q: What kept yous motivated for all 8 weeks?

A: I was lucky to see pounds dropping for the showtime vii weeks. Every time I weighed myself and saw a change I would exist all energized to go along going. There were times that I didn't encounter much alter only then I would get dressed and my dress fit so much ameliorate. By the cease of the claiming, I needed a whole new wardrobe because everything was too big! I was not the person who wanted to get back to the way they looked X years before or when they first got married, considering I was never at a weight I was comfortable with, and seeing all my clothes dancing on me was definitely a push in the right direction for those days I idea perchance it would be easier to quit.

And my hubby. He was and so supportive the whole eight weeks, he would suggest making something healthy for me when I didn't desire to brand annihilation. He'd offer to become to the store to get dark chocolate when I wanted it. He bought me pure maple syrup but so I could indulge in a healthy way. He was a bang-up back up buddy!

Q:  What communication would you lot share with current and futurity participants?

A: Find new recipes. If yous're craving something sweet (like I did and practise, often) and you accept no more than treats left, there are recipes out there that are completely safety. I tried Tiffany's dark chocolate tarts (fashion too delicious to put down) and other dessert recipes from the blog and they were all great. If you're craving something salty, homemade pizza is the best. I'm convinced anything you crave has a healthy substitution out there and information technology'due south worth it to find it, even Nutella!

Do something y'all beloved for your workout, no matter what people retrieve of information technology. Information technology'south and so much easier to look forward to working out when it'southward something you enjoy and non something you just need to cheque off the list. I would never practice 45 minutes of Jillian Michaels, I'd rather die. Only I've done xc minutes of Zumba and loved every minute of information technology.

Find a buddy. If it's your husband, smashing. If it's your friend, not bad. If it's your child, great. If information technology's the Facebook group, great. Merely find someone.This challenge is hard to practice alone. It helps to find someone that tin can assistance y'all when you just want to give up.
